December 4 on 4 | Phoenix Pagan Pride Day

Every month myself and a very talented group of ladies from Clickin Moms get together to create the "4 on 4 Blog Circle" showcasing 4 of our favorite images from the month.  Be sure to click the link at the bottom of this post to explore the circle!

 This month I was asked by a member of the OuroboRose School of Magic to photograph their ritual performance at Phoenix Pagan Pride Day.

The altar was dedicated to Greek goddess Aphrodite and African goddess Oshun - both water deities.

One of the things I love about event photography(especially of this nature) is the extreme diversity of the attendants.  At one point I saw this man in the ritual circle nod respectfully to the pre teen girl on his right and then to the well dressed middle-aged woman on his left.

The message of the ritual was celebration and honor of the self.  There was music, dancing, and even Hershey's Kisses.

I'm a little sad that I won't get to see this event again since our move is coming up soon but I'm hoping to be able to do events in the Minneapolis area next year!
