4 on 4 | January Edition

Every month myself and a very talented group of ladies from Clickin Moms get together to create the "4 on 4 Blog Circle" showcasing 4 of our favorite images from the month.  Be sure to click the link at the bottom of this post to explore the circle!

For our last holiday season in Arizona we invited friends far and wide to come stay at our house for five days of celebration.  On the last day when the only one remaining was my best friend and her two kids we drove to Margaret T Hance park to get some holiday shots of the kids.

The week before I had ordered a Sigma 105mm lens but due to the holidays it didn't arrive in time for these pictures (this lens and the drama surrounding it are topic for another post, believe me) so I was forced to stand smack dab in the middle of the street with my friend intermittently yelling, "CAR!" ala Wayne and Garth.   Finally got the shot though, and I love it.

These two here are going to be pretty upset when the move happens.  They have been best friends since mine was born (they are 10 months apart).  But my friend and I have already planned several more weekenders and play dates between now and April for them.  Plus we are going to take them shopping closer to moving time and let them each pick out their own stationary, stickers, pens, etc so they can keep in touch as pen pals as well as through Skype and phone calls.

Even though there are cars and people in the background this is one of my favorite pictures of my eldest.  He turned 5, started kindergarten, graduated from Pull-Ups, and developed a love for video games this year.  This picture reminds me that no matter how big or how grown he gets he's always going to be my little boy.

And speaking of little boys!  My youngest turned three in September and he's going through a phase that I adore:  the "Mommy, you're mine," phase.  He wants me to snuggle with him, read to him, play Cootie with him, and just spend time with him.  He knows how much I love taking photographs so he will say, "Mommy, do you want me to get dressed up so you can take pictures?"  Yes, my son.  Mommy does want that.

Here's to an amazing 2016, everyone.  Big things happening for my family and I hope big things for yours as well.  <3
