Oh my goodness what can I say about this week in photography? It hit the ground running with a trip to Ritter Farm Park in Lakeville to take some promotional shots for November.
The boys were impressed not only with how chilly it was but they were all excited about the blanket of huge oak leaves on the ground! Add to the fact that I brought the bubble machine and I was pretty much the coolest mommy in the world that day.
The next morning we got up, had breakfast, got dressed, then headed out to National Camera Exchange so I could purchase a new lens. I bought the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 and we headed to a new (to us) park to give it a test run.
I love the lens! I didn't have much love for the layer of black mud that surrounded the playground at this park. We all had to put our shoes in the back of the car and ride home in just our socks. Then I spent another twenty minutes ruining a brand new scrubby sponge trying to get that nasty stuff off of all of our shoes.
My senior session for Saturday had to be rescheduled due to rain so Elena and I met up at the Cathedral of St Paul and then went back to her house to work on our portfolios. We actually got a bit of work done in spite of our constant giggles, chair dancing to old school music, and partaking in some delightful wine.
Then on Sunday I had my senior session with gorgeous Deonna. Oh boy was this one of my top 3 senior sessions in Minnesota. This girl was a blast!!
Whirlwind Edition indeed!!
So that November thing I mentioned? It's about time to start thinking about holiday cards!
